Van den Hende Transport nv, a pure family business, was born in ‘96 from an agricultural contracting firm set up in the ‘60s by Aimé Van den Hende and his wife Maria De Smet.
The firm was soon transporting sugar beet with heavy agricultural tractors.
The first industrial tractor arrived in the mid ‘80s, and the fleet has grown since then. The business now specialises in B2B transport for coils, animal feeds (GMP/FCA certificate obtained in 2002) and other bulk products.
Transportation of the sugar beet harvest is still an annual, autumn event.
